Thank you for visiting our website. I am honored to have served as the proud principal of Heckethorn for the past 13 years and to have been a part of the Clark County School District for 34 years. It is a privilege to lead such a remarkable school community where our dedicated staff works tirelessly to uphold high academic standards and provide a nurturing environment that supports the success of every student.

 

We are proud to be a Leader in Me Lighthouse School, a distinction that recognizes our commitment to leadership, culture, and academic growth. Our Lighthouse distinction represents a model of excellence that other Leader in Me schools look to for inspiration and best practices. At Heckethorn Elementary, our school and community philosophy goes beyond academic success. We strive to help every child discover their unique greatness and develop leadership skills through the daily practice of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. As a Leader in Me school, we are dedicated to creating goal-centered, student-led classrooms where students take ownership of their learning. Our teachers and staff work collaboratively to empower every student with the mindset, skills, and supportive environment needed to achieve personal and academic success.
